Last weekend, the UFC took part in a sudden story line plot twist when massive underdog Holly Holm knocked out Ronda Rousey, the promotion's biggest superstar, with a second round head kick. The win is being hailed as one of the biggest upsets in mixed martial arts history, as well as all of American sports history.
While GIFs, memes and illegal videos continue to circulate on social media with the now infamous head-kick finish, the UFC opted to release new footage of the knockout and the post-fight scene surrounding Ronda. The clip was released on UFC Fight Pass titled "UFC 193: Thirll an Agony."
Sonnen: Ronda was 'created by the media'
Chael Sonnen believes that the media built the legend of Ronda Rousey, who was defeated by Holly Holm at UFC 193.
"Experience the heartbreak and elation at UFC 193: Rousey vs Holm," the official description read. "A new women's bantamweight champion and more as we go behind the scenes."
Rousey has since released a brief statement where she thanked her fans for their support and revealed that she would "be back."
