New UFC women's bantamweight champion Holly Holm played along with those who think she looks like comedian Amy Schumer, and congratulated her on capturing UFC gold.

Holly Holm "shocked the world" as she promised by knocking out the heavily favored Ronda Rousey in the main event of UFC 193. One of the more humorous aspects leading up to this contest was the fact that some fans thought that Holm looked a little bit like comedian Amy Schumer (I personally don't see it, but maybe my eyes are weird). So in response to everyone, Schumer tweeted out her thanks to everyone who congratulated her on the huge win.

And soon enough, Holm also gave her props to Schumer for her fantastic performance against Rousey, which won her the UFC women's bantamweight title.

You want a scary fun fact? Both Schumer and Holm are 34 years old. I think we're onto something here.

Anyway, you can see Holm on her hit television show "Inside Holly Holm" on Comedy Central, which has been renewed for a 4th season and has been met with critical praise for its biting, edgy, and funny social commentary. Her widely acclaimed film "Trainwreck" is now out on DVD and is considered one of the best comedies in the past several years.

Schumer is likely to rematch Rousey some time in 2016, hoping to erase any doubt as to who is the better fighter between the two.
