Dana White had a Q&A in Melbourne during the UFC 193 festivities, and one of the questions asked by fans was the upcoming match between Ken Shamrock and Royce Gracie. Bellator is booking the third bout over 2 decades since both men fought, and the UFC president doesn't seem to be a fan of the idea.
"Listen, everybody’s gotta do their own thing, but I don’t think that 50-year-olds fighting is ever a good idea," White said. "I hope nobody gets hurt. I mean, two 50-year-old guys. That’s crazy. Crazy."
Technically, Royce Gracie is 'just' 48-years-old, while his fellow UFC Hall-of-Famer in Ken Shamrock is 51.

The two pioneers originally faced off at the first UFC event back in 1993, which ended with a Gracie submission win. They rematched 2 years later at UFC 5, and since there were no judges, it ended up as a draw after an pretty uneventful 36-minute contest.
For some reason, Bellator decided to put on a third bout in 2016, and both men will be a year older by the time they step into the cage.
