Matt Roberts-USA TODAY Sports

The UFC 193 preliminary card wrapped up with a quartet of fights on Fox Sports 1, and the last 3 all delivered some form of crowd-pleasing violence. Australian fans were treated to a back-and-forth thriller in the final prelim, which saw their local favorite rally for a big win.

Danny Martinez def. Richie Vaculik via unanimous decision (30-27 x3) - Flyweights

Martinez outwrestled Vaculik throughout the duration of the contest and hurt him with winding punches in the middle of round 2. Each time Vaculik was able to get his own takedowns on Martinez, he lost position and was put on his back for his troubles. There wasn't a lot of excitement in this fight, and Martinez's smothering game combined with aggressive striking was enough to get him his first UFC win.

Gian Villante def. Anthony Perosh via KO (punch) at 2:56 of round 1 - Light Heavyweights

This was a mismatch on the feet pretty much from the get-go. Perosh's best hope was to get this to the ground, where he's a high-level BJJ practitioner, but the only time he saw the ground was when he was faceplanting. After several shots had buzzed Perosh earlier in the round, the Long Island native melted "The Hippo" with a whopper of a right hand that marked an instant end to this blowout. Villante rebounds from a tough KO loss to Tom Lawlor, while the 43-year-old Perosh drops two in a row for the first time since 2006.

Kyle Noke def. Peter Sobotta via TKO (body kick and punches) at 2:01 of round 1 - Welterweights

Kyle Noke delivered the most devastating body shot of the night, and it was enough to get him a big win against Peter Sobotta. Not much happened in the opening minute or so, but Noke changed the course of the fight with a brutal kick to the liver. Sobotta screamed in pain as he dropped to the floor, and Noke finished him off with several punches. It's a 2nd straight win for Noke and the best finish of his career, while Sobotta loses for the first time in 5 years.

Jake Matthews def. Akbarh Arreola via TKO (doctor's stoppage) at 5:00 of round 2

In a wild fight, the heavy underdog hurt Matthews multiple times in the opening round, including with a high kick to the neck area that wobbled "The Celtic Kid" before a left hook put him down. Arreola pounced and looked for the rear-naked choke but did not get it. Toward the closing seconds, Matthews slipped out of the backdoor and eventually had Arreola on the bottom, and Matthews finished with ground-and-pound after being in a world of trouble. Matthews wasted no time taking it to the ground in round 2, and once he took Arreola down he battered him with an assault of elbows and punches for the better part of 4 minutes. A huge cut over the right eye of Arreola was pouring blood, and the cageside medical team called an end to the fight before the start of round 3. Matthews survived a huge scare to get to 3-1 in the UFC, while Arreola drops to 1-3.
