Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva may have been the most harmed fighter when the UFC decided to ban all forms of Testosterone Replacement Therapy due to his acromegaly. Nonetheless, "Bigfoot" intends to show the world he doesn't need it in order to defeat Mark Hunt, whom he fought to a draw back in 2013.
"USADA tested me three times this time. Surprise tests. They tested me here again a fourth time." He told MMAFighting.com "Last time a had a prescription for TRT. The doctor gave me a medicine and I used the exact medicine he gave me, but my levels were so high, I don't know why. I believe my doctor, I believe he made a big mistake with me. But now I'm going to prove everybody I don't need TRT. I don't need nothing to do a great fight."
Antonio Silva and Mark Hunt are scheduled to fight at UFC 193, in Melbourne, Australia, on November 14. Their fight will preceded both main events starred by female title fights. First, Joanna Jedrzejczyk defends the strawweight belt against Valerie Letorneau. Then, Ronda Rousey will face Holly Holm for the bantamweight title.
