You may vaguely remember sitting through about 9.5 hours of mostly awful fights at UFC 190 before the main event of Ronda Rousey and Bethe Correia in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The Brazilian fans treated Rousey much in the way American fans treated The Beatles when they went across the pond. It was a home fight for Correia only on a technicality, and the main selling point of this mismatch-on-paper was Correia's power (2 TKOs in 9 wins) and the fact that she'd beaten two of Rousey's "Four Horsewomen" teammates.
Predictably, Rousey smashed Correia, only this time she went for the KO instead of the armbar. It's the first one-punch KO of Rousey's career and one of her most spectacular finishes in her sea of spectacular finishes. Joe Rogan couldn't say anything other than "Oh my goodness!" from the end of the fight until the following Saturday.

Here's Dallas Winston's play-by-play of the destruction:
Round 1: Rousey shrinks the gap aggressively but Correia pivots and catches her with a punch while reaching. Rousey resets, still in kill-mode, and locks up in the clinch. She looks for an outside trip and it off-balances Correia, who back-rolls out of it. She hits her feet with her back on the fence where a hail of leather from Rousey awaits her. A knee to the body lights the fuse and a Mack-truck right hand ignites the bomb. Correia goes limp before she hits the mat.
Official result: Ronda Rousey defeats Bethe Correia by KO (punch) R1 0:34
