Bisping not interested in Silva fight anymore: 'He must have been on juice the whole time'

New, comments

Michael Bisping has lost interest in fighting Anderson Silva as he doesn't feel like taking on a steroids user since he claims to have always been a clean fighter.

So much for the fight Michael Bisping wanted for most of his career. Now that a clash against Anderson Silva is actually within his reach, "The Count" is just not that into it anymore, as he told MMA Junkie.

Why? Well, he just doesn't feel like fighting a steroid user.

"You know, to be honest, I've always wanted to fight Anderson Silva. Everybody knows that. That's been well documented. But, I don't know if I feel the same about that right now. The fact is, I kind of said to myself recently, ‘Anybody that tests positive for performance-enhancing drugs, I want no part of it'. As far as I'm concerned, you've been a cheat, I don't think that at 39 years old, having the career Anderson Silva had, I don't think you make the decision at 39 years old to try this new thing called steroids. I think he must have been on the juice the whole time. "

Since Bisping takes pride in never taking any kind of performance-enhancing substance himself, he just doesn't see why he should submit himself to it.

"I've never used any of that stuff, and I don't see why I should have to fight people who have used these products. So, I don't know whether I would take a fight with Anderson Silva after that's all said and done."

Anderson Silva has been briefly linked to a fight with Bisping in Brazil next April, though the event itself, which was also rumored to have Fabricio Werdum's rematch with Cain Velasquez, has not been confirmed so far.
