Vitor Belfort often has his name swirled around in controversies. The UFC Middleweight has been the poster boy of TRT usage, as well was the focal point of a sketchy drug test at UFC 152. While pursuing media obligations to promote his main event fight with Dan Henderson at UFC Fight Night 77, Belfort was set to make an appearance on the popular show, the MMA Hour.

Show host Ariel Helwani tweeted today that Belfort will no longer be appearing on the show as his manager pulled him from the lineup. Helwani explained the scenario in a series of tweets.

Helwani also told viewers to "draw their own conclusions from that" and that he would explain what specific questions Belfort's manager refused to be asked. Possible questions could've included the recent report surrounding his TRT usage before his UFC 152 fight with Jon Jones, as well as other controversies surrounding the star fighter.

The MMA Hour airs today,  beginning at 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT / 6 p.m. BST. Alexander Gustafsson, Ben Rothwell, Dustin Poirier and more will be featured on the show.

UPDATE: Helwani addressed the exacts of the cancellation on the MMA Hour and his conversation with Vitor Belfort's wife, who initially set up the interview.

Ariel Helwani: "I give you my word that I will be fair and I hope that means a lot for you guys... I will not be causing any harm"

Belfort's Wife: Okay, but please no Deadspin questions, TRT or past TRT results. Vitor is giving you his valuable time. I believe we can count on you.

Ariel Helwani: This is is first interview since that story came out by Josh Gross, so if it's not addressed in a small capacity then it will make not only him but me look bad. I don't want to harp on this but I feel like it needs to be addressed.

Belfort's Wife: If Vitor had anything to say he would have said it already. You asked me when the website released the info and we didn't give you a word. I'm sorry Ariel but if you are going to ask about that then unfortunately Vitor will not be able to talk to you.

Helwani addresses the story within the first couple of minutes of the show. Click here to watch.
