Dana White is not afraid to shower praise on cities that make his UFC events memorable. And despite everything that went wrong with this weekend's Fight Night show in Dublin, the place was still sold out and loud as can be. So it shouldn't be much of a surprise that Dana was grateful.
James Elliott, the UFC rep who handled the UFC Fight Night 76 post-fight press conference, spoke to White and passed on his praise for Dublin:
"When I was talking to Dana just after the fights. he said he wanted me to let everyone to know he's traveled the world to all these shows and Dublin is without a doubt the best fight town on the planet."
The event first lost the co-main event a couple of weeks ago when Stipe Miocic was forced out of his bout with Ben Rothwell. To further the devastation, Irish headliner Joseph Duffy's concussion scuttled the main event as well.
The main event ended up seeing Louis Smolka defeat Paddy Holohan by submission in the second round of their flyweight bout.
