The UFC's latest venture in Dublin may have been a cursed one with the late collapse of the main and co-main events, but it remained an entertaining night of action. Between the boisterous Irish crowd and the impressive performances sprinkled across the card, there was enough to warrant several post-fight bonuses.
Top British prospect Tom Breese made an emphatic statement on the Dublin card when he silenced the crowd with a vicious TKO win against Cathal Pendred. The Tristar-trained fighter thrashed the Irishman for the better part of the opening frame before he landed a ferocious liver shot that sent Pendred tumbling to the canvas. From there, it was only a matter of time before the referee stepped in to call an end to the proceedings.
Neil Seery was one of the few victorious Irishmen on the Dublin fight card as he landed a guillotine submission on Jon Delos Reyes. The two went back-and-forth for the first round but Seery found an opening when he was slammed on his back and locked in a slick guillotine for the finish.
Undefeated welterweight talents Darren Till and Nicolas Dalby put on the 'Fight of the Night' with their competitive affair that ended up with a majority draw. It was a rare situation where both fighters maintained their undefeated records. The final score was 29-28 for Till and 28-28, 28-28 on the remaining judges' scorecards.
