During Monday's edition of the MMA Hour, UFC heavyweight Travis Browne confirmed the rumors when he revealed that the promotion's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey was "my woman."
Browne, an alleged domestic abuser according to an Instagram photo from his separated wife that suggested that he was the perpetrator behind the bruises on her body, vehemently denied the accusations during the same interview.
"Have I ever gotten physical towards her?" Browne said on the MMA Hour. "No, absolutely not. Like I said, there's circumstances surrounding all this. That's up to her and her family to deal with."
Browne was suspended by the UFC pending a third-party investigation by Campbell & Williams. He was reinstated in August and is scheduled to face Matt Mitrione on January 17, 2016.
Amidst the headlines regarding this relationship, Rousey released a statement through ESPN quickly confirming her relationship with Browne.
"I don't talk about my personal life much. That's why it's called 'personal life,'" Rousey told ESPN in a statement on Monday (h/t MMAMania). "It's true that Travis and I are in a relationship. I've really enjoyed the time we have spent together and getting to know one another. And that's all I'm going to say about it."
Rousey is scheduled to defend her bantamweight title against Holly Holm on November 15, 2015 at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Australia.
