Ronaldo 'Jacare' says that he worries little about Anderson Silva receiving the next title shot

The Middleweight contender prefers to not complain about being relegated in favor of his friend.

UFC middleweight Ronaldo Souza seemed to be very close to a title fight after four straight wins since his debut in the promotion in 2013. The picture changed after the announcement that the shot will be given to his friend Anderson Silva, if the former champion beats Nick Diaz at UFC 183 on January 31. But Souza told Globo that he doesn't care that much:

"It doesn't worry me, not at all. I don't keep myself worried with this kind of stuff. It doesn't concern me. I'm a Christian guy and give no attention for worldly things. If that happens, it's because it was God's choice, and I'll support Anderson. I would be lying if I say that it wouldn't bother me. But I won't get mad."

"Jacare" is also ready to step in as a replacement if needed in the main event of UFC 184, which will have Chris Weidman vs. Vitor Belfort on February 28.

"Of course I had this thought but I believe that Chris Weidman and Vitor Belfort will be ready. For sure that I can compete in someone else's place if necessary but I'm focused in my fight. I'm also ready to fight five rounds if the UFC requests."

"Jacare" is scheduled to face Yoel Romero at UFC 184. "The Soldier of God" is on a streak of five wins in the 185-pound division and also could claim that he has made his case to receive a title shot, in case of a victory over Souza.
