Dan Henderson doesn't have a whole lot of respect for Jon Jones as a person

Dan Henderson explains not having respect for Jon Jones in the wake of Jones' win over Daniel Cormier.

Dan Henderson and Jon Jones were supposed to meet at UFC 151, an event that was ultimately canceled when Hendo suffered an injury and Jones wasn't willing to take a late replacement fight. Despite that he was to face Hendo in 2012, Jones said in the lead up to last weekend's fight with Daniel Cormier that he was not impressed with Cormier's lopsided 2014 win over Henderson. Among other things, Jones called Henderson "50-60 years old."

Henderson was on The MMA Hour on and explained that he has little respect for Jones as a person.

"He is who he is and it doesn't reflect good upon him when he does things like that," Henderson said on Monday's edition of The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani. "It doesn't bother me at all. I know who I am and I know how I portray myself. I don't have a whole lot of respect for him as a person."

"I said it a couple years ago," Henderson said. "He's just not very genuine. He portrays himself differently than what he really is and I think that's where people have the problem with him. If he didn't act like someone he wasn't, I don't think anybody would have a problem."
