UFC 182 post-fight bonuses: Jones, Cormier win ‘Fight of the Night’

While UFC 182 produced many lackluster fights throughout the evening, there were several impressive showings that warranted post-fight bonuses.

205-pound kingpin Jon Jones and Olympian Daniel Cormier took part in an entertaining five-round contest on Saturday night, and although the Olympian started out aggressive and with vicious intent, Jones was able to weather the storm, and wear him down over the duration of the fight to close out the contest via unanimous decision.

The win marked his eighth consecutive title defense and firmly cements his spot as the top pound-for-pound fighter on the planet.

Lightweight Paul Felder earned one of the most impressive finishes of the evening when he knocked out Danny Castillo with a spinning back fist to separate the veteran from his senses. The win moves the "Irish Dragon" to 2-0 in the UFC and sets him up for bigger fights to come.

Heavyweight Shawn Jordan picked up another first-round stoppage with his abrupt finish of Jared Cannonier.
