Tweet of the Day: Jon Jones takes a shot at Phil Davis after split decision loss at UFC on Fox 14

Phil Davis lost a pretty uneventful split decision against Ryan Bader as part of the main card of UFC on FOX 14. The decision could've gone either way, but it was a stalemate that clearly wasn't entertaining by any stretch of the imagination.

Shortly after the loss, Jon Jones took another jab at Davis and his Mr. Wonderful nickname. Check out his tweet below:

Apart from trading barbs from time to time, Davis also made fun of Jones' recent run in with drug testing.

Ryan Bader did a very good job stuffing a dozen takedowns from Davis and was able to land some decent punches in a closely contested but otherwise uneventful and drab affair. Davis' best attacks were based on his kicking game, and he particularly bothered Bader's lead leg in the final round. Phil didn't land a single takedown and was suplexed in the closing seconds of the 3rd. The only time Bader was in any trouble on the ground was when he attempted a takedown and ended up giving up his back against the cage. Davis wasn't able to generate much offense and Bader got back to his feet.

This was a forgettable fight that will not leave any casuals wanting to see either man fight again any time soon. Bader has won 4 straight, while Davis has now lost 2 of his last 3.

UPDATE: Jon Jones also took a shot at Gustafsson after his loss in a tweet that since has been deleted.
