BE's Baddest Greatest Striker Tournament: #1 Jose Aldo vs. #3 Shogun Rua

Vote now in the Bloody Elbow Baddest Tournament to determine the Greatest MMA Striker of All Time. Today's match-up: #1 Jose Aldo vs #3 Shogun Rua. Vote now!

June M. Williams

It's true folks, #1 seed Anderson Silva defeated #5 seed Demetrious Johnson. I know, I'm as stunned as you are. Silva mauled Mighty Mouse, 63-6. With that win, we wrap up the Sweet 16 and move on to the meat of the tournament and the Elite 8. Silva rounds out the field, and will take on the controversial #2 seed Bas Rutten next week.

Today, we welcome our first entrant into the Final Four. Who will it be? In one corner, #1 seed Jose Aldo. His opponent? #3 seed Shogun Rua. Both men have had no trouble so far, including Shogun's upset win over #2 Junior dos Santos. He is looking for another upset here, along with what would be his 3rd consecutive win over a fellow Brazilian fighter. Aldo is a real tough draw, but I'm interested to see if Shogun can make this a fight.
