Several months ago, Conor McGregor took part in a Q&A session ahead of the UFC 179 weigh ins in Brazil. The main event at the time was Jose Aldo vs. Chad Mendes II. Fast forward to January 2015, the roles were been reversed, as the Brazilian took part in a similar session ahead of the UFC Fight Night Boston weigh-ins - a card headlined by the Irish sensation.
As expected, Aldo was faced with a rowdy crowd that tested his patience. However, the champion handled the questions with poise and impressive restraint, and even offered plenty of quotes for pundits across the Internet.
"I already have a game plan in my mind," Aldo said of his potential bout with McGregor"I'm the king, he's the joker, and I will make him pay. He will continue to be the joker. I'm the king, the other one (Chad Mendes) is the prince, and he's the joker.
"I truly believe Conor has to thank me. I'm giving him the opportunity to fight for the title."
Aldo even added that the only thing that would please him more than a win over McGregor would be to silence his Irish fans.
"Watching this Irish crowd in silence would be historical. I don't see any problems with that. I don't understand anything you say, so I don't care."
He concluded by stating that he expected more from the crowd in front of him.
"Right now I'm relaxed, enjoying this moment. It's fun. I expected more (from the crowd)."
