Video: Kimbo Slice talks joining Bellator, Coker looking to sign Mirko Cro Cop

Kimbo Slice just signed with Bellator, and Scott Coker says he's definitely interested in signing Mirko Cro Cop as well.

During Bellator 132, Bellator officially announced the signing of Kevin Ferguson, better known as Kimbo Slice. The former YouTube sensation, UFC fighter, and pro-boxer, will be returning to MMA and he spoke about it on the interview above. (HT: Zombie Prophet)

"I've been trying to keep busy as much as possible," said Slice. "Been boxing over the past couple of years. My current record [as a boxer] is 7-0. Bellator is up there in the tops and they're giving me the opportunity to fight on primetime and Spike TV. You know you can't resist Spike TV."

"I'm still hungry out there. I haven't got my fill yet. Whoever steps up to the plate, they got to bring it. I'm coming to get it."

No opponent or debut date have been mentioned just yet, but Slice has already returned to American Top Team and training with the likes of Ben Saunders and Goldberg. In unrelated (?) news, Scott Coker has also said that they're looking to pick up Mirko Cro Cop.

"We’ve had several conversations," Coker told the assembled media following Bellator 132. "I’m not sure to what extent he’s ready to come to America and fight, but we’ve had some conversations. I'm definitely interested. If you saw how good he looked in Japan, it was pretty impressive. So we’re going to continue to see how those things go. But these things take time sometimes, and we’ll see."

Coker was in attendance in Japan where the 40-year-old Mirko Filipovic scored with a vintage left head kick finish against Satoshi Ishii on New Year's Eve. Cro Cop is having a bit of a resurgence since his UFC release, winning the K-1 Grand Prix title and following up by picking up the IGF title with two wins over the Olympic gold medalist in Ishii.
