MMA fans in the Chicago area will be pleased to know that the UFC will be heading to their city once again. UFC PR man Dave Sholler confirmed on Wednesday night through Twitter that UFC on Fox 16 will be held at the United Center on July 25th.
For all the Chicago fans who have been asking: see you July 25 at United Center for @UFCONFOX.

It's been virtually standard procedure for one of the UFC's four annual Fox events to be held in Chicago. The previous three trips to the Windy City have all been in January, but this year the UFC has opted to go to Stockholm for their first Fox event of the year.
I'm sure Chicago would've been the perfect place for Chicago-native CM Punk to make his MMA debut, but he's not expected to step into the cage until October.
July 25th is still a half-year away, so don't expect any fights to be announced for this card until we get to March or April.
