UFC Fight Night Japan's Roy Nelson says 'I just got caught' after KO loss to Mark Hunt

UFC heavyweight Roy Nelson posts his comments on Facebook after his 2nd round loss to Mark Hunt in the main event of UFC Fight Night Japan.

USA TODAY Sports

For the first time in 8 years, Roy Nelson is on the wrong end of a big knockout loss. A man historically known for his ridiculously hard-to-crack chin was felled by a walloping uppercut by Mark Hunt in the 2nd round of the main event of UFC Fight Night: Hunt vs. Nelson in Saitama, Japan. In a status update published on his Facebook page, the 38-year-old Nelson says "I just got caught" and thanked his fans for their support:

The loss drops Nelson to 1-3 in his last 4 and 20-10 overall in his career. It's more or less the finishing blow to any dwindling hopes Nelson had of achieving a title shot. Prior to today's Hunt defeat, the only other man to knockout "Big Country" was Andrei Arlovski, another man who has recently rescued himself from irrelevancy and straight into a comfortable spot as a top 10 heavyweight in the UFC.
