Scoggins (9-1) impressed right out of the gate by stopping Richie Vaculik in Australia last December, then taknig apart Will Campuzano at UFC 171 in March. The 22-year-old was elevated to main card status at the TUF 19 Finale last month, but he lost a split decision to Dustin Ortiz in a back-and-forth affair.
Moraga (14-3) won his first two UFC fights by stoppage, earning him a title shot vs. Demetrious Johnson last July, which he lost by 5th round armbar. After winning a close decision over Dustin Ortiz, Moraga fell to John Dodson by 2nd round TKO this past June after his nose was busted up by a Dodson knee (among other strikes in a late barrage).
The UFC Fight Night: Jacare vs. Mousasi main card airs live on Fox Sports 1, opposite Bellator 123 (also in Connecticut) on Spike TV. also includes the co-main event between Alistair Overeem and Ben Rothwell, Matt Mitrione versus Derrick Lewis, Joe Lauzon against Michael Chiesa, and Nik Lentz versus Charles Oliveira.
