Earlier this week, NBA star Paul George suffered a horrific injury during a televised Team USA scrimmage. After chasing down an opponent for a block, the Indiana Pacers' scorer landed awkwardly and suffered a gruesome open tibia-fibula fracture that required surgery and likely have him out for the entire 2014-2015 NBA season.
Anderson Silva suffered a similar injury on his last bout against Chris Weidman, and as he slowly works his way back to form, the former long time UFC champion sent a message of support towards the 24-year-old basketball star:
I had the same injury champ, I know what you are going trough right now, but just stay calm and strong, you'll be back soon. #PrayForGeorge
