Following the recent string of controversies that shed an unfavourable light on Alistair Overeem, at least one of his teammates is prepared to defend the Dutch heavyweight for his sparring style in the gym.
Donald Cerrone took to twitter on Thursday afternoon to defend Overeem after the kickboxer came under fire for playing a part in Jon Jones' knee injury that forced him out of the headlining bout of UFC 178.
I dont understand why you'll want to talk shit about @Alistairovereem Dude is a great teammate and friend! Hes doesn't try and hurt anyone

Andrei Arlovski also appeared hesitant about Overeem joining Jackson's MMA, and recently stated in an interview that "The Reem" nearly hospitalized him with a rib injury during one of their recent sparring session.
