Porter vs. Brook is a very intriguing main event and one that has been slept on a bit. Porter's last two fights have been major wins for him - an impressive decision win over Devon Alexander and a KO of the veteran Paulie Malignaggi. With those wins, Porter has looked like a possible pound for pound contender and the kind of man who could soon find himself across the ring from the likes of Floyd Mayweather. But Kell Brook, also an undefeated fighter, has at times received that same kind of praise. The British fighter has yet to face the kind of competition we have seen Porter deal with in recent fights, and as a result he's the obvious underdog here. Yet he has many supporters who feel this is the time where he shows his potential. Either way, the winner here will likely find himself in a great position in the boxing landscape Sunday morning.

Also on the card is a heated rematch between Sakio Bika and Anthony Dirrell, plus a potentially action packed opener between Omar Figueroa and Daniel Estrada. It promises to be an exciting night of boxing.

Shawn Porter vs. Kell Brook Round by Round Coverage:

Round 1: Porter doing a nice job pushing his way inside and roughing things up, but Brook also doing a nice job tagging Porter as he makes the entry. Good round that establishes how each man is approaching things. Very close, but I give the slight edge to Porter. 10-9 Porter

Round 2: All Porter with the inside work for the first 2 minutes, but towards the end, Brook began coming back and connecting more. Porter trying to keep it rough and so far, succeeding. Brook cut by an unintentional headbutt. 10-9 Porter.

Round 3: More of the same here, with Porter's success coming inside, Brook's when he counters at range or when Porter comes in. These are close rounds and tough to score. 10-9 Porter from me, but judges could be all over the place.

Round 4: Nice work from Brook to start, keeping outside and landing some clean shots. As always, Porter gets inside, using some nice movement to get there and doing some damage, but Brook's clean shots worked nicely for him here. 10-9 Brook

Round 5: Porter not as focused on getting inside this round, allowing much of the round to be contested at range. There, Brook's superior reach and snappy punches give him the edge. Brook 10-9

Round 6: Porter ups the aggression this round, shoving his way back inside and getting rough again. Brook continues to make him pay for those entries, but Porter's heavy work inside does well for him. 10-9 Porter

Round 7: Porter remains busier, but some clean shots from Brook make a difference. Brook lands a nice combo inside late in the round that seems to tagger Porter, at least for a moment. Best work of the night for either man. 10-9 Brook

Round 8: Close round here. Neither man had any huge moments, though Porter had some nice body work inside. It's close, but Porter as always has the edge in aggression. 10-9 Porter

Round 9: Nice jabs from Brook. Interesting change here, as Porter gets inside, but starts to clinch without throwing punches back. He needs that aggression inside to win. 10-9 Brook

Round 10: Brook fighting with confidence, as now he's the one coming in to the clinch. He's using his jab and straight right well, then getting in to the clinch, where, as in the previous round, Porter is not throwing enough. 10-9 Brook. That makes it even on my card heading into the final 2.

Round 11: Lots of work inside here again, but Brook lands some nice clean shots, including a crisp, tight left hook on the exit and a clean right at range. Those two shots give him the edge. 10-9 Brook

Round 12: Very aggressive 12th round from both men. Porter gets his game going on the inside again, roughing Brook up. Brook lands a few nice shots at the tail end of the round, but Porter has the advantage from that aggression. 10-9 Porter, which makes it a 114-114 draw on my card. Scores could be all over here.
