Sorry Dog the Bounty Hunter, despite your heroic efforts, looks like the police didn't need any help in catching Jon "War Machine" Koppenhaver in last week's horrific assault on porn star Christy Mack. Jonathan "War Machine" Koppenhaver was arrested by U.S. Marshals and the Simi Valley Police at the Extended Stay America Hotel in Simi Valley around 1:45 p.m. today.

Koppenhaver was arrested on a seven count felony warrant from Las Vegas, Nevada stemming from an assault last week on his ex-partner, porn star Christy Mack.

The former Ultimate Fighter contestant, UFC veteran and Bellator featured fighter had been on the run since a Friday morning assault on Christy Mack at her Las Vegas home. Mack posted pictures on twitter and described a horrific assault on her and a male companion (reality TV star Corey Thomas) by Koppenhaver.

A Simi Valley PD press release reported the arrest and also noted, "Inside the room was a small quantity of cash and some pizza. The United States Marshal's Service turned Mr. Koppenhaver over to the Simi Valley Police Department for booking on his warrant from Nevada. He was transported to the Ventura County Jail."

Here is a 2013 appearance by Koppenhaver and Mack on the MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani
