Ronda Rousey's coach Edmond Tarverdyan went on the MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani this week and shared his thoughts on his fighters chances against Cris Cyborg:
"Absolutely, I like that fight. I love that fight. Ronda knows that. I spoke to Ronda and I said, 'Ronda you will knock Cyborg out. Ronda knocks out 'Cyborg.' Even if she fights he with one hand, she beats her. That's what I believe. That's an exciting fight. I would love that fight. It's a great fight, yes. Cyborg is a swinger, she's tough and she'll let her hands go and she'll get into a fight with Ronda and that's exciting. But I believe in my fighters, they're the best in the world and I would love to see that fight and if they can make it happen, let her get off that what she's doing, make it fair and square, come down and they know where Ronda is. I think fans want to see that fight. They want to see an insane striker go up against a polished, precise striker."
Of course for Rousey and Cyborg to actually fight, the UFC would have to sign Cyborg. Dana White has had many objections to signing Cyborg and most recently he claimed the media would turn on the UFC if he signed her because of her past drug test failure.
Rousey broke her hand at UFC 175 and is likely out the rest of the year.
