There's no guarantee that UFC 176 will actually happen at this point, but tickets are being sold at a good clip according to a report at MMA Junkie.
The card is currently without a main event following Jose Aldo having to drop out of his title fight with Chad Mendes. The rest of the card is without any sort of pay-per-view draw, with Gray Maynard representing the most well known fighter in the line-up.
The MMA Junkie report stated that the UFC has sold about $800,000 in tickets for the Staples Center.
That's a solid number considering that Jose Aldo wasn't a particularly big draw on his own as it originally stood.
It's also a big enough number that I'm curious if the promotion could try to make some moves to simply move the card to Fox Sports 1 (or 2 or FX or FXX), rather than refund the tickets that have been sold to date.
Looking through the roster, there are very few options for anyone who could serve as a PPV savior on such short notice.
