Dana White is furious over the production team's blunder on the UFC 175 PPV broadcast.
Following Ronda Rousey's rapid title defence in the co-main event, Joe Rogan proceeded to ask the women's bantamweight champion whether she would be willing to step in on short notice and defend her title at UFC 176.
While Rousey took the question in her stride, the UFC President was furious with the blunder, and claimed that responsibility fell on someone in the production team.
"I wasn't upset with Joe Rogan," White said at the post-fight press conference. "I was upset with the truck telling him to tell Ronda that she's going to fight again. That wasn't true. That was some shit that somebody make up back there. It was the biggest idiotic move in the history of our production team."
White insisted that it was not the UFC"s intention to place Rousey in such an awkward position.
"I told them right up there that's not true," White said. "I don't know where that came from. Nobody told anybody to say that."
