In the main event of the evening, Robbie Lawler and Matt Brown lived up to the lofty expectations placed on them and produced an entertaining five-round battle that culminated in a unanimous decision victory for Robbie Lawler. Both fighters had their moments during the contest but it was ultimately Lawler who was the more technical fighter and secured at least three rounds on all three judges scorecards.
Anthony Johnson continued his charge through the light-heavyweight division as he dispatched Antonio Rogerio Nogueira in spectacular fashion. The end came early in the opening round of the bout, as Johnson found his range and landed a pair of devastating uppercuts to separate ‘Lil Nog' from his senses. This is Johnson's fourth post-fight bonus in two stints with the promotion.
Dennis Bermudez picked up arguably the biggest win of his professional career to date on Saturday night when he stopped Clay Guida with a rear-naked choke in the second round of their feature fight. Bermudez is now riding a seven fight win streak, which is tied for third behind Chris Weidman and Jon Jones. This also marks his fifth post-fight bonus overall.
While they did not win a post-fight bonus, lightweights Jorge Masvidal and Daron Cruickshank also took part in a highly entertaining fight that featured both dynamic striking and grappling from both competitors.
