Raphael Assuncao is the last man to beat the current bantamweight champion in T.J. Dillashaw and he has been angling for a title shot for some time now, but it looks like the UFC will opt for a different rematch. According to a report from Ariel Helwani at UFC Tonight, Renan Barao is likely to have an immediate rematch with the champion on August 30.

In one of the biggest upsets in recent history, Dillashaw beat Barao and was absolutely dominant in doing so last May. When he tries to put a repeat performance just 3 months later, this time it will likely be at UFC 177 and in front of his hometown in Sacramento.

Prior to the losing his belt, Barao was undefeated since making his pro debut in 2005 and held an impressive streak that had 3 dominant UFC title defenses, 9 wins with Zuffa, and 32 wins overall.
