TUF Brazil 3 Finale fighters all drug tested, all come back clean

The CABMMA tested 24 fighters before the TUF Brazil 3 Finale and 6 fighters after the event and all tests came back clean.

Here's a rare bit of MMA good news you can put in your pipe and smoke.

MMA Fighting's Guilherme Cruz is reporting that all 24 fighters that competed at The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 3 Finale card were tested by the The Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission (CABMMA) and all test results came back negative.

The event took place at Sao Paulo, Brazil's Ibirapuera gymnasium on May 31.

CABMMA COO Cristiano Sampaio said that 24 fighters were tested before the fight, and six fighters - Stipe Miocic, Fabio Maldonado, and four others drawn by lot - were tested again after the event.

Miocic KO'd Maldonado in under a minute in the main event. In other action on the card, Antonio Carlos Junior beat Vitor Miranda and Warlley Alves defeated Marcio Alexandre Jr. to become the season's Ultimate Fighter winners.

All results came back clean. Brazil has recently followed the lead of the Nevada State Athletic Commission and banned therapeutic use exemptions (TUE) for testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). This presumably didn't impact any of the fighters on the TUF Brazil 3 Finale -- mostly young fighters starting out in their career -- but it has impacted a number of fighters including Vitor Belfort, Chael Sonnen, Dan Henderson and others.
