BE Advanced Class: Knee sliding out of the quarter guard with David Jacobs

New, comments

David Jacobs, black belt instructor of our own Patrick Tenney, shows the knee slide out pass against the quarter guard.

We have a special video here on Advanced Class today as this one was made by the instructor of one of our mods, Patrick Tenney.

David "The Rock" Jacobs is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and is a former DI college wrestler, and was the 2011 IBJJF No-Gi Pan Jiu Jitsu Championship Black Belt Featherweight Gold Medalist. He has collect medals at IBJJF events in both Adult and Masters black belt divisions. Jacobs runs the David Jacobs Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy in Vienna, VA. His YouTube Channel is new and he is doing a weekly technique video, so it certainly worth a subscription.

This pass is one of my personal favorites do from a variety of positions, and it is an excellent counter to strong legged bottom players who like to use the quarter guard to stall and stave off points.
