New, comment

The UFC has booked a bunch of fights over the last few days, and here's a rundown of what they put together.

Thearon W. Henderson

With something like 50 events in 2014, the UFC has to book a whole lot of fights. Sometimes these fights are huge, and sometimes they're undercard bouts featuring names you might know very well. So we're going to continue with a new weekly (or bi-weekly if needed) series of articles where we take a brief look at each and every bout booked by the promotion in one place. Without further ado, here we go.

TUF Nations Finale

Shayna Baszler was a late scratch from her bout with Sarah Kaufman due to an injury. She will be replaced by Amanda Nunes, who found herself without an opponent when Alexis Dufresne was forced out of their UFC on Fox 11 bout.

UFC 173

UFC News on Twitter let us know that bantamweight Kyung Ho Kang suffered an injury and was removed from his bout with TUF winner Chris Holdsworth. Chico Camus has stepped up to fight Holdworth instead.

UFC on Fox 11

Alex White has stepped in former WEC champ Mike Brown to face Estavan Payan at featherweight. The news was passed along via

UFC Fight Night: Berlin

Three bouts have been added to the May 31st card. MMA Junkie confirmed that Andy Ogle will meet Maximo Blanco in a featherweight bout. The UFC also used a press conference to announce a heavyweight bout between Czech fighter Viktor Pesta and Dagestani Ruslan Magomedov, and a featherweight fight between veteran Thiago Tavares and Tom Niinimaki.

UFC Fight Night: Albuquerque

In addition to that, a lightweight bout between Piotr Hallmann and Yves Edwards has been bumped back to this card:

UFC Fight Night: San Antonio

Andy Emz will meet Marcelo Guimaraes in a middleweight bout on the June 28th card. This was confirmed by UFC News. In addition to that, a heavyweight fight will go down there as well:

UFC 175

As mentioned before on the site, TUF finalist Uriah Hall will meet Thiago Santos in a middleweight contest. In addition, an important light heavyweight fight between Daniel Cormier and Dan Henderson is tentatively scheduled for the card. The winner will apparently get a shot at the 205-pound title.
