All 3 judges scored the welterweight title fight for GSP's vacant belt for Johny Hendricks with scores of 48-47 across the board. One judge, Douglas Crosby, however, had a strange way of coming to that score. Opting to give Hendricks a 10-8 in round 2, and scoring it a draw in round 5 with a 10-10.
I'm still hoping Crosby isn't actually that incompetent, but rather just unprofessional and mixed up those rounds. 10-8 in round 5 and 10-10 in round 2 makes much more sense.
Here's Dana's thoughts and reaction when he found out about the scores around the 2:54 mark:
If you can't watch the video I got you with a little play by play:
Kevin Iole, I believe, tells Dana about the Douglas Crosby scorecards. Dana starts making this bewildered face (closing his left eye) and just starts blinking like he's trying to understand how those scores are even possible. He doesn't say anything for a good 10 or so seconds, while still putting on the face you put on when you can't solve a math equation. All Dana can do is give out a chuckle-smirk and finally lets out, "They (the judges) never cease to amaze me... They never cease to amaze me. There were a couple of real goofy ones tonight."
For what it's worth, Dana had it for Hendricks 1,2 and 5. Iole says he had it 1,3, and 4 Lawler.
