Chris Weidman beat Anderson Silva twice to take and retain the UFC Middleweight title. Now he's set to defend that belt against UFC legend (and former Light Heavyweight champ) Vitor Belfort on May 24 at UFC 173 in Las Vegas, Nevada's MGM Grand Garden Arena.
The card will feature Ultimate Fighter: Brazil coaches Chael Sonnen vs. Wanderlei Silva in the co-main event.
The 29-year-old Weidman is 11-0 in MMA and 7-0 in the UFC. The 36-year-old Belfort is 24-10 in MMA and 6-2 in his current UFC run including three straight KO wins since losing to Light Heavyweight champ Jon Jones in a 205 lb. title bout at UFC 152 in 2012.
