Ronda Rousey will take home an extra bit of cash in addition to her fight purse and any other earnings as one of the bonus winners after UFC 170. Rousey was awarded one of the two $50,000 "performance of the night" bonuses for her first round TKO of Sara McMann. While the stoppage was viewed by many as controversial, UFC president Dana White said at the post-fight press conference that he thought it was a good stoppage.
Also scoring a PotN bonus was Steven Thompson, who scored his own first round TKO in the PPV opener.
Fight of the night, also a $50,000 bonus for the two men involved, went to Demian Maia and Rory MacDonald for their three round battle. MacDonald came out on top on the judges scorecards with all three seeing the bout 29-28 for MacDonald.
Also announced at the post-fight press conference was an attendance of "just over 10,000" for a gate of $1,500,000.
