In Round #388 noted philosopher and serial sensitivity offender EUGENE S. ROBINSON [with the "S" standing for "Snappy"], laughs his ass off at a night of picks that saw him finish big [despite the MELENDEZ downfall] and in the money, all whilst mocking JOE ROGAN's hopelessly misguided take on HENDRICKS winning [he didn't], as well as his dark night of the soul that saw him wanting to "go home and watch it again...alone" because in typical Robinson fashion, other's misery is his joy. Add to this his scene by scene take on the limits of success, forever lurking failure and in a masterstroke of drunk guy thinking, his ringside attendance at a 500-person fight club that saw him end the evening with his smiling face covered in blood.
Which is exactly how he hopes to see CM Punk's time in the UFC ended. Just minus the "smiling" part.
Eugene S. Robinson host of Knuckle Up and author of Fight: Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Ass-Kicking but Were Afraid You'd Get Your Ass Kicked for Asking [Harper Collins], A LONG SLOW SCREW [Robotic Boot] and a play called THE INIMITABLE SOUNDS OF LOVE; A THREESOME IN FOUR ACTS [Southern] also sings for a band called OXBOW and appeared in Bill Cosby's Leonard Part 6 (and yes, a Cosby story is in the works), a Miller Genuine Draft commercial, and had his own TV show in Germany called? "The Eugene Robinson Show."
