UFC 181 fight card for 'Hendricks vs. Lawler'

Today marks a stretch of the UFC's final four events in 2014, and the year's final PPV promises to be a spectacular one. Headlining UFC 181 in Las Vegas, Nevada is a welterweight title rematch between reigning champion Johny Hendricks and Robbie Lawler. Hendricks won the vacant belt with a dramatic unanimous decision win over Lawler back in March. The co-main event marks the return of lightweight champion Anthony Pettis, back from injury and a coaching stint on TUF 20 opposite Gilbert Melendez, who was nearly a Bellator fighter earlier this year before the UFC matched Bellator's offer and granted him a title shot vs. the champ.

Elsewhere on the main card is a pair of heavyweight tilts, as Travis Browne tries to bounce back from his loss to Fabricio Werdum by taking out Brendan Schaub, while Todd Duffee gets back in the cage versus Anthony Hamilton. The PPV broadcast begins with lightweights Tony Ferguson and Abel Trujillo looking to make their case as top 10 caliber fighters.

On the preliminary card, perennial contender Urijah Faber faces Francisco Rivera, while TUF 19 winners Eddie Gordon and Corey Anderson make their first UFC appearances since winning the competition. Ashlee Evans-Smith, most notable for beating Fallon Fox, replaces the injured Holly Holm for a fight vs. Raquel Pennington on the Fox Sports 1 prelims.

Anthony Pettis isn't the only Pettis on tonight's show, as his younger brother Sergio competes on the Fight Pass portion of the preliminary card vs. Matt Hobar. Entertaining, low-end featherweights Alex White and Clay Collard kick things off at 7 PM ET.
