Rustam Khabilov forced off UFC 182 card due to visa issues

UFC lightweight, Rustam Khabilov has been forced to withdraw from UFC 182 due to visa issues. Opponent, Danny Castillo in need of opponent.

Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Typically, when a UFC card takes a hit, it's from the accursed injury bug. That is not the case for next month's UFC 182 event. Second only to the injury bug is the visa issue, and unfortunately, Dagestani-born Russian, Rustam Khabilov has been forced to withdraw from his bout with lightweight standout and Team Alpha Male member, Danny Castillo.

According to a report from MMA Junkie, an anonymous source relayed the information, stating that a replacement will be needed for Castillo. The fight was to take place on the main card of the event, which features the long awaited light heavyweight title bout between champion, Jon Jones and Number 1 contender, Daniel Cormier.

Both Castillo and Khabilov were looking to bounce back after losses to Tony Ferguson and Ben Henderson. Here's the card as it stands right now:

Champ Jon Jones vs. Daniel Cormier - for UFC light heavyweight title
Donald Cerrone vs. Myles Jury
Josh Burkman vs. Hector Lombard
Nate Marquardt vs. Brad Tavares
Danny Castillo vs. TBA
Louis Gaudinot vs. Kyoji Horiguchi
Jared Cannonier vs. Shawn Jordan
Rodrigo Damm vs. Evan Dunham
Omari Akhmedov vs. Mats Nilsson
Marcus Brimage vs. Cody Garbrandt
