UFC 183 free fight: Nick Diaz vs. B.J. Penn full fight video

See the full fight between Nick Diaz and B.J. Penn from October 29th, 2011 at UFC 137 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

By the time Nick Diaz steps into the cage on January 31st, 2015, it will have been roughly 3 1/4 years since his last win. Of course, his most fervent supporters will argue "Diaz 1, 2, and 5" for his loss to Carlos Condit and "Diaz, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5" in his 50-45 x3 defeat to Georges St-Pierre, but the results still stand. Nick had made his UFC return in 2011 after Zuffa purchased Strikeforce, and immediately awarded him a title fight vs. GSP. This was derailed because of the UFC's decision to yank him from the main event when he skipped out on press events, and then GSP injured his knee shortly afterwards. This left us with a new UFC 137 main event of B.J. Penn versus Nick Diaz on October 29th, 2011.

Penn opened as a -365 favorite to best Diaz, but the lines grew closer towards fight night, and Nick ranged from a +105 underdog to a -115 favorite. While Penn drew first blood in the opening round, it was all Diaz after that, and it was damn close to being stopped standing with the pummelling that BJ was receiving in the latter stages of the fight. The final scorecards read 29-28, 29-27, and 29-28 with a 10-8 2nd round turned in by judge Tony Weeks.
