UFC Fight Night: Barueri post-fight bonuses: Machida pockets $50,000 for body-kick knockout

The final UFC fight card of 2014 took place on Saturday night and brought with it an anticlimactic conclusion to the year. However, while the card was nothing to write home about, it did feature several impressive finishes that warrant post-fight recognition.

Lyoto Machida closed out 2014 with a ferocious kick that led to the TKO victory in the opening seconds of the main event against C.B. Dollaway. While many anticipated a slightly more competitive encounter, Machida proved that the gap between himself and the majority of the division is a wide one as he made it look easy against a tough, durable opponent. Another classic performance from "The Dragon."

Renan Barao earned one of the four performance of the night bonuses with his third round submission victory over Mitch Gagnon in the co-main event of the evening. It was a strong performance from the Brazilian, albeit far from flashy. Nonetheless, Barao will now likely be just one fight away from title contention.

Vitor Miranda was dominated for 4:56 seconds of the opening round of his curtain jerker fight on the preliminary card before landing a head kick that led to the finish a few moments later. It was a remarkable finish and comeback from the TUF Brazil 3 finalist.

Erick Silva made quick work of Mike Rhodes on Saturday night, as he finished his opponent in less than two minutes to pick up his first victory since a thrashing at the hands of Matt Brown.
