UFC Fight Night: Machida vs Dollaway results: Lyoto Machida stops C.B. Dollaway in just over a minute

Lyoto Machida vs C.B. Dollaway was met with a bit of skepticism when it was initially announced. Many fans felt that Machida had proven to be a world title fighter while Dollaway was basically a fringe top 10 guy and not in Machida's league.

Lyoto proved those who felt that way right with a dominant performance that saw him land a thunderous body kick that badly hurt Dollaway. After following him to the cage, Machida unloaded with strikes as Dollaway couldn't defend himself.

For several minutes after the finish, Dollaway was left on the ground, in pain and clutching at his ribs. It seems likely that a rib or two might have been broken by the kick.

Machida proved that he is still one of the absolute best fighters in the world at 185, but one wonders if the UFC would let him have yet another title shot in the next year. As is, he's a big barrier to anyone trying to get to the top of the division.
