Rafael Dos Anjos took a dominant win over Nate Diaz which had judges awarding him a couple of 10-8 rounds during their UFC on FOX co-headliner. With the victory over Diaz, the #3 ranked lightweight in Dos Anjos earned his third straight victory which also includes an impressive knockout win over former champ Ben Henderson.

"I’m so happy. I’ve been working hard for the last few years. Please, Dana (White). Please Lorenzo (Fertitta). Give me a title shot", Dos Anjos said during his post-fight interview, "I’m coming off two finishes. I just beat Nate Diaz. I want my chance for the title. I’ve been in the UFC for six years. I’ve had seventeen fights. I want my title shot"

Dos Anjos has won 8 of his past 9 bouts, with the only loss he has had during that impressive run being a decision loss to the #1 ranked lightweight in Khabib Nurmagomedov. Many expected the Russian to get the next crack at Pettis, but during the post-fight press conference, Dana White has confirmed that Khabib still hasn't fully recovered from his knee injury and won't be ready in time.

Pettis, who just defended his UFC title against Gilbert Melendez this past weekend, told Dana White that he wants to fight soon. With Khabib still out of the picture, the UFC president has stated that Dos Anjos will indeed get his wish and will be getting a much deserved title shot.
