Hector Lombard wants St-Pierre fight in Melbourne: My wrestling’s improving every day

UFC welterweight competitor Hector Lombard is interested in a match-up against former kingpin Georges St-Pierre.

Although Hector Lombard is scheduled to meet Josh Burkman in a feature fight on the UFC 182 fight card next year, the Australian native is interested in reeling in a far bigger match-up in 2015.

"Lets suppose like if I can't fight for the title for some reason, you know I really would love to [fight GSP]," Lombard told Submission Radio. "I know that GSP is coming out of retirement so I really would love to have a big fight between me and GSP in Australia."

Lombard likes his chances against the former champion, as he claims to have worked on his wrestling and does not fear George's striking.

"I can take a punch and my wrestling's improving every day. So it's going to be very hard for him to get me down and my stand up, he's got no chance with me. That's for sure."

The former Bellator middleweight champion even proclaimed himself to be the best welterweight competitor in the UFC.

"I think that I'm the best at, you know at all in the 170lbs division at every area. Not only better than him [Burkman], I'm better than everyone up there, but that's my opinion."
