Danny ‘The Cheesecake Assassin' Mitchell has become the latest victim of the UFC roster's axeman.

The Yorkshire, England native confirmed via his Facebook account today that he has been released from the organization following back-to-back losses.

Mitchell dropped unanimous decisions to Igor Araujo in March and Wang Sai in August, though the latter decision was somewhat controversial and Mitchell's supporters claimed he had been "robbed" by the judges .

"I can confirm I've been released from the UFC. I like many people thought I would get another shot after the last fight was a close decision that I honestly believe I won but I ain't gonna complain, this game is ruthless at the top," he wrote.

"I will be looking to get on a win streak and back in there as fast as possible, at least i will be able to do something I've not done since my 4th pro fight and fight local at the donny dome [Doncaster Dome]! How sick would that be!"

Mitchell exits the UFC with a 14-6 professional record. That record includes a win over Dean Amasinger, a draw with Cathal Pendred and a loss to Gunnar Nelson.
