King Mo suggests he can match Tom DeBlass’ jiu-jitsu: ‘I might f**k around and submit him’

Bellator light-heavyweight competitor ‘King’ Muhammed Lawal discusses his upcoming match-up against Tom DeBlass.

Once a happy member of the American Kickboxing Academy in San Jose, ‘King' Muhammed Lawal struggled to find a new home to accommodate his needs as a world class mixed martial artist.

Recently, however, it seems he has finally settled into a camp that he is comfortable with, American Top Team down in Florida. While it is a gym that he had experimented with several years ago, he was amazed as to how much has changed in such a short period of time.

"There are things at ATT that I liked, and there were things that I wasn't sure of," King Mo told FightHub.TV. "But then when I came back recently - the energy of the gym has changed. It is like night and day from when I first came there. It is just different. I feel like there is more comradery. I feel like everyone is out for your best interest."

Happy with the atmosphere in his new home at ATT, King Mo is confident he will be able to display his well-rounded game against Tom DeBlass. The two competitors will meet in one of the feature fights on the Bellator 131 fight card, headlined by a grudge match between former UFC fighters Tito Ortiz and Stephan Bonnar.

"I'm ready man," said Lawal. "I'm gonna whop his ass. My hands are ready; submission defense is ready; takedowns are ready.

"When it comes down to it, Tom DeBlass is coming to get his ass whopped."

He even went so far as to suggest the possible finish of the fight.

"I might (even) f**k around and submit him....straight up."
