Having finally had his interim bantamweight championship title upgraded to the real deal, Renan Barao will have the chance to earn his first defense at UFC 169 against Urijah Faber. The event will take place at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ and we'll have live updates and commentary for you throughout the event.
The show kicks off with three bouts live streaming via UFC Fight Pass at 6:30 p.m. ET (3:30 PT). From there the action will move on to FS1 with four televised prelims starting at 8 p.m. The main card featuring two title shots will be on PPV at 10 p.m.

Round 1 -Magny was busy early with kicks and combos. Magny caught a kick and came forward with some offense. Umalatov with a takedown. Umalatov looked for a guillotine, then ate an upkick before Magny got up. Good leg kick from Umalatov. Umalatov caught a kick but couldn't get Magny down. Magny clinched up but got thrown briefly by Umalatov. Magny got a takedown and took his back. Might have stolen the round with that. 10-9 Magny.
Round 2 - Good leg kick from Magny. Solid left hook from Umalatov. Three-punch combo from Magny. Magny worked the outside game well, staying out of Umalatov's range. Big right hook from Umalatov, who fought off a takedown attempt. Magny clinched up against the cage for a while, then got reversed. Another left hook from Umalatov. Magny worked against the cage, and managed to take his back and flatten him out late. 10-9 Magny.
Round 3 - Umalatov pressured a little more early in this round, likely because he knew he was down. He connected with a big right hook but Magny kept peppering him with jabs. Umalatov got a brief takedown. Magny got up but Umalatov stayed glued to his back. Magny finally escaped and went back to the outside game. Big body kick from Magny. Flying knee attempt from Magny saw him getting taken down. He popped up quickly though. They clinched up for a while to end the fight. 10-9 Umalatov, but 29-28 Magny overall.

Tony Martin vs. Rashid Magomedov
Round 1 - Not much action early. Martin finally got a takedown into side control. He cranked on a kimura and rolled over. Magomedov got his hands together but Martin got an armbar. Magomedov somehow survived but it looked like his arm popped - he was grimacing really badly. They exchanged some kicks. 10-9 Martin.
Round 2 - Martin clinched up and looked for a takedown. After a lot of work against the cage he tried to drag Magomedov down but ended up on the bottom. Magomedov landed a couple of big shots and an elbow on the ground. Martin managed to get up but ate a kick. Another kick and a knee from Magomedov. Body kicks from the Russian. Kick from Martin. Not a lot of action late. 10-9 Magomedov.
Round 3 - Martin's eye has a big mouse. Magomedov landed a solid shot and Martin went for a takedown. He was relentless with it but just couldn't get Magomedov to the floor. Magmmodov looked for a guillotine and it's deeeep. Martin escaped but Magomedov took top position. Big shot from Magomedov. Martin got up but ate a big head kick and solid knees. Martin went back to trying for a takedown, which just turned out to be an extended clinch session. The ref finally broke them with a minute to go. Martin went for another takedown but whiffed. The ref called time to get Martin's eye and nose checked. Body kick and head kick from Magomedov. Martin clinched up. 10-9 and 29-28 for Magomedov.

Clint Hester vs. Andy Enz
Round 1 - Leg kicks from Hester to start. Wild left hook dropped Enz. Enz came up and ate another big shot that put him back down. Enz grabbed a leg and threatened with a leg lock to get up. Enz was still wobbly but threw some kicks. Another big right hook lands for Hester, and a body shot. Enz with some jabs. Enz with a solid shot that wobbled Hester. Left hook scores for Hester. Body kick and combo from Enz. Both miss with head kicks. 10-9 Hester.
Round 2 - Kicks from both men. Hester just powered his way into a takedown. Enz got up but ate some big strikes on the way. Hester is slipping a lot of Enz's strikes but he's slowing down a bit. Solid left hook from Hester. Another takedown from Hester. Again Enz got up but ate a body kick and a straight left as he stood. He came back with his own offense though. Kicks from both men. Not much action over the last minute. 10-9 Hester.
Round 3 - Enz opened with his go-to strike, a hard kick to the body. Hester missed with a spinning back fist and ate a right hook. He came right back with one of his own though. Jabs from Enz. Right and a body kick from Enz. Winging right hook lands for Hester. Counter right hook from Hester. Nice combo from Enz ending with a head kick. Hard jab from Enz. Left to the body from Hester. Leaping left hook from Hester, and a solid straight right. Brief takedown from Hester. Pretty even round, but I'd lean Hester. 10-9 and 30-27 overall.

Al Iaquinta vs. Kevin Lee
Round 1 - Big right hook from Lee early. Iaquinta dropped Lee with a huge left hook and continued to batter him. Lee looked to have recovered though. Knee up p the middle from Lee.Lee in on a single and Iaquinta snatched a beautiful leg lock. Lee finally escaped, but Iaquinta went for another one. Lee got out of that too and landed a good knee to the face. Iaquinta with a strong jab and a leg kick. 10-9 Iaquinta.
Round 2 - Head kick from Lee. Body/head from Iaquinta. Takedown from Lee, and he took Iaquinta's back. He sunk a choke but wasn't able to finish. Lee got his arm under the chin but Iaquinta popped his head out of it. Lee had a body triangle from the bottom and continued to hunt for a choke. Elbows to the shoulder from Lee. Lee held him there for the rest of the round. 10-9 Lee.
Round 3 - Big right hook landed for Iaquinta, and another. Lee came back with a jab. Left hook from Iaquinta, and a uppercut. Lee went for a takedown, and Iaquinta went for the same leglock. Lee defended well though and landed a bunch of punches. Iaquinta grabbed a leg and Lee went for an enziguri kick. Pretty crazy. Iaquinta stuffed a takedown. And again. Lee with a right, Iaquinta with a left hook. Short left from Lee. Body shot from Iaquinta. More shots landed from Iaquinta. Close, but I have it 10-9 for Iaquinta and 29-28 overall.

Round 1 - Watson with a leg kick, but not much happening early. Lots of feints. Watson missed with a kick and ate a straight right. Leg kick from Watson, returned from Catone. Big right from Catone. Solid keg kicks from Watson. Catone with a shot but it was defended by Watson. More kicks from both men. Catone gets a takedown, but Watson gets up early. Catone kept pressing with a body lock and stalled Watson on one knee. He finally got him onto his back with 15 seconds to go. 10-9 Catone.
Round 2 - Watson with a left hook. Head kick from him too, and a leg kick. Watson was walking Catone down but not really making him pay for it. He landed a gaggle of leg kicks though. Right hook from Catone. Another leg kick led to a Catone takedown. Watson got up quickly though. Catone continued with the pressure against the cage. Watson is cut. Knee from Watson. 10-9 Catone.
Round 3 - Pawing left hook from Catone. Leg kick from Watson. Missed takedown attempt from Catone. Watson poked Catone in the eye. Watson with a solid right hook. The kicks are adding up on Catone. Another takedown attempt stuffed. Kong with a headkick and another to the left leg. Jab from Catone, and he got a takedown. Catone got back control, then tried to switch to mount. Back to the back. 10-9 Catone, and 30-27 overall.

Chris Cariaso vs. Danny Martinez
Round 1 - Martinez went for an immediate takedown but Cariaso fought it off. A few kicks from Cariaso. Martinez with a combination. Martinez pressed Cariaso against the cage for a while. Jab from Cariaso. Lots more kicks, but nothing super devastating. Once again Martinez looked for a takedown, and he finally got it. Well, he got Caraiso down on his butt, anyway. Cariaso got up, and guess what? Martinez went for another one. He picked him up and slammed him near the cage. 10-9 Martinez.
Round 2 - Inside leg kick from Cariaso. Martinez was swinging a lot but just hitting air. Cariaso landed a nice counter. Martinez backed him up against the cage and looked for a takedown. He couldn't get it and they stalled for a while. Finally they reset, and Cariaso landed a jab and a head kick. Body kick from Cariaso. Martinez connected with a winging combo and went for another takedown. He got him to his butt against the cage. Cariaso got up but they went back to clinching. The crowd is not happy. Martinez got him down again late. Tough to score, but I'll go 10-9 Martinez.
Round 3 - Right hook from Martinez. Cariaso came forward with a stiff left. Leg kick from Cariaso. Huge left hook from Cariaso. And another. Back to the takedown attempts. Jab and right from Cariaso. Martinez caught a head kick and took Cariaso down. Cariaso got up quick though. Solid strikes from Martinez and he's back against the cage looking for a takedown. Head kicks from Cariaso. Leg kick now. Right hook from Martinez. Straight left from Cariaso. Martinez looked for a late takedown but it wasn't there. Flying knee from Martinez. Cariaso's round 10-9, but I have Martinez winning 29-28. It could go either way though.

John Makdessi vs. Alan Patrick
Round 1 - Patrick brings the pressure right away and lands some knees to the body. Makdessi stuffed a shot. Inside leg kick and body kick from Patrick. Both men spin. Capoeira kick from Patrick that missed. Side kick from Makdessi. Makessi slipped on a kick and got a knee to the body. Short right from Makdessi. Big, powerful takedown from Patrick. Makdessi got back to his feet after a few seconds. They clinched up for the rest of the round. 10-9 Patrick.
Round 2 - Makdessi with a nice inside counter. Side kick from Makdessi landed to Patrick's chest. Left hook from Patrick. Another huge takedown from Patrick that keeps Makdessi down for all of two seconds. Short left hook from Makdessi. Spinning back kick connects for Makdessi, and a nice jab. Makdessi's nose is bloodied. 10-9 Makdessi.
Round 3 - Makdessi with volume, Patrick with a big shot now and again for the first minute. High kick from Patrick connected. Jabs to the head and body from Makdessi. Patrick has a takedown attempt stuffed. A kick to the leg seemed to hurt Patrick. More jabs from Makdessi. Patrick charged forward for a takedown again but Makdessi deftly defended. The ref separated them quickly. Meh. 10-9 Makdessi I guess, but that was pretty hard to judge. 29-28 Makdessi overall.
