MORE FROM BLOODY ELBOW

This is a busy night for combat sports fans as you have boxing on Showtime and HBO, plus the UFC on Fox. Of those three big events, this is perhaps the one with the least intriguing main event. Lamont Peterson vs. Dierry Jean is clearly a showcase fight for Peterson. Last time out, Peterson was dominated by Lucas Matthysse. Here, he looks to rebound from that KO loss and get back to his winning ways. Undefeated Jean is a decent opponent, but if Peterson has recovered, this should be an easy win.

Of more interest is the night's co-feature: Jermell Charlo vs. Gabriel Rosado. Both are tremendously entertaining fighters who always give it their all. Rosado had a rough 2013, but still turned in a series of impressive performances, while Charlo is looking to make the transition into the major boxing mainstream. Both men will really want a win here, and the result could be fantastic stuff. Charlo vs. Rosado will be a 10 round fight.
