Former WEC/UFC bantamweight star Miguel Torres' father robbed at gunpoint

Former WEC and UFC bantamweight star, Miguel Torres' father robbed at gunpoint. Torres is seeking help in identifying the culprit and offering a cash reward.

Paul Abell-US PRESSWIRE

Former WEC and UFC bantamweight star, Miguel Torres has had a rough run over the last couple of years. His career has come almost to a standstill, as he hasn't fought in almost a year. He holds a sterling, 40-6 record, but 5 of those 6 losses have come in his last eight fights. He is currently on the World Series of Fighting bantamweight roster, however no announcement of a fight has been announced for him since his last bout, almost a year ago.

It would seem that his immediate family members are also experiencing some bad luck. In an unfortunate turn of events, his father, while running at a track, was robbed at gunpoint. Miguel released a statement via his Facebook fan page to address the situation and ask for help in identifying the perpetrator.

To whoever robbed my dad at gunpoint tonight while he was running at the track in the Harbor, if I find out who you are I'm going to beat the living f*ck out of you till I get pulled off. Anyone with information on who this perpetrator was, I'm offering a cash reward. No one f*cks with my family.

Hopefully, the culprit is brought to justice. Torres is offering a cash reward, so if you or someone you know has any information on the attack, you can reach out through Facebook or Twitter.
