Last year the UFC resisted putting title fights on Fox, only doing so last December when the ratings for the 3rd and 4th cards were well below the standards set by the 1st and 2nd events. They've simply alternated flyweight and lightweight title bouts since Ben Henderson defeated Nate Diaz, and December 14th we'll see the lightweight belt on the line once again. This time, Anthony Pettis is the champ after he submitted Bendo in August, and he'll fight Josh Thomson in the main event.
Urijah Faber and Michael McDonald meet in a fantastic co-main event, while the other two main card fights consist of Carlos Condit/Matt Brown and Chad Mendes/Nik Lentz. Expect very good ratings for this one with heavy promoting of the card on the college football and NFL broadcasts.
Here's what the card, which takes place in Sacramento, looks like so far:
Anthony Pettis vs. Josh Thomson
Urijah Faber vs. Michael McDonald
Carlos Condit vs. Matt Brown
Chad Mendes vs. Nik Lentz
Joe Lauzon vs. Mac Danzig
Court McGee vs. Kelvin Gastelum
Danny Castillo vs. Edson Barboza
Scott Jorgensen vs. Ian McCall
